I really enjoy holding my circulated cameos and there are so many great ones still out there raw to hunt, so I’ve started collecting those that way again. I still love my toners though and recently had the true joy of seeing them properly imaged. Figured I’d share my favorites with you all- Many thanks to @robec for making these come alive.
Wow, tough to pick a favorite, but I think I have to go with the Walker, followed closely by the Pilgrim.
Did you shoot these photos yourself? If so I gotta compliment you on the quality...Outstanding!! As for my favorite well it's gotta be the Pilgrim half dollar.
Just noticed where you gave him credit for the photos in your first post. I gotta start reading more carefully.
That 44 is my favorite. Those neons jump off that nickel. It stands out by far from the group and I bet at 66 the luster really makes it pop in hand. Nice coins and excellent photos!
I saw that coin at the Fall PNNA show but it was right away that morning and I ended up blowing my budget on something else... was able to look at the bourse map and track it down a couple months later. It has the neon of a monster Morgan on a Jeff: video Some great Allegiance coins in there!
Those coins are magnificent, and the photos are excellent as well. Robec does very high quality work. I've used his expertise in the past as well.
Thanks all, I’ve shared a lot of these so I figured it would be cool for you guys to see them done justice. Thanks- and thanks for the nudge in the right direction to pull the trigger on that T1 buffalo last fall. Turned out to be an outstanding coin.
Thanks- no, I feel like I do a decent job imaging those. It’s the colorful lustrous stuff that is much harder for me to do justice.
