Please post a photo of a coin that you own that does not fit in with the rest of your collection or the type of coins that you usually collect. For example, if you are a gold collector, you could post a silver coin etc. BTW--the thread will be much more interesting if you explain why the coin is not you. In my case it will be very obvious. I just love the Great Falls Collection, now where are my crayons.
The first and most important thing you should do is free that coin from its' bondage. Then stick in in a window sill that gets plenty of sun and watch it tone. Oh yeh, turn it now and then so that it will tone on both sides. Good Luck and Keep on Collecting!!! Allen
Probably this coin. The reason I posted the picture is, when the wife saw it she immediately (had to have it) an it now resides in a sterling jewelry bezel... Alas -- but a small price to pay for numismatic/marital bliss. Take Care Ben
Pardon me, I have so many coins that are not me, do I become them? I mean I could post all day. But for good measure this one: 25 Pfennig pattern coin, designed by Karl Goetz. Struck at Stuttgart mint. The only reason I bought it, it was being sold as a token and priced at $10 so I couldn't pass up a deal.
LOL! I have two almost identical to that. MS-67 100% white in PCI holders, and they're both toning around the edges as well.
I have a 2007 ASE. Does not fit in at all, I have no other bullion coins, and I don't really intend on getting any. Oh, but did I mention I got it for free!?(being a YN has its ups and downs) Sorry about there being no pics, camera not working, atm.
