I've seen nice looking red cents, but this penny
    is a golden yellow color. WIN_20200204_18_42_28_Pro.jpg WIN_20200204_18_42_41_Pro.jpg WIN_20200204_18_47_04_Pro.jpg WIN_20200204_18_47_45_Pro.jpg

Heat will do this to an LMC. I tried an experiment a few years ago and put an LMC on my wood stove over the winter. Within a couple of days it had turned a golden yellow color.

Your coin looks like it has been painted a gold color.

A little heat will make a Zincoln create a brass shell.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder because that's one ugly cent.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

"Yellow" is not a color I'd ever associate with a "beautiful" cent.

Yellow might be a minor tone in a progression, but if lemon yellow is the dominant color on a copper coin, you can place safe odds that's been treated, heated, or cheated.

HL Mencken's description of Pittsburgh, long and far off ago, could be quite fitting for this coin.
