I wonder how much they will charge for it? In a way, the Mint might have messed up. They should have made it to the exact specifications as the original. I think there would be a large market for US Mint produced exact replicas of things like seated liberty or trade or morgan dollars with current year dates on them.

Nice, but I'm sure like all the mint products will be over priced bullion that is nowhere near as nice as the original.

Yes, as nice as it might look on its own, I am NOT a fan of reusing old designs. It's as if the Mint thinks nobody has any talent and could possibly create new designs. I am all for bringing Liberty back to our coinage, but not by reusing old designs. I also can't stand any of the coinage that changes constantly. So, I'm not a fan of the state quarters program, nickel reverses, multiple new cent designs, etc. I want one design that they use for a while. Personally, I don't really like putting dead presidents on coins either. So, I won't be buying one of the new coins. I'd rather take that money and buy a nice Liberty or real St. $20.

EDIT: And yes, I am aware that I sound like a grumpy old man. :)

When in doubt, a great idea is to own both the original Saint, Liberty and the new one.
