Possible die chip. With a century behind it and the wear and tear it shows, an RPM at this stage would be a little tough to determine.
die chip and damage don't forget to look at the entire coin to obtain your first perceptions .. in this case heavily worn and damaged cent.
I would agree with the common consensus, from what I can see, it looks to be a die chip that landed on the S.
Hey mac, did you find that 2009 DDR? If so, nice find! I've been trying to spot one for a few months now, with no luck yet. I'm not giving up yet though!
I did find it, after going through several boxes, as one does in this hobby haha. It's one of my best coin roll hunting finds yet! Don't give up, they're still out there, and in great condition! The profile picture does not do the coin justice though, looks better in profile.
I could only imagine! My profile picture is probably one of the more extreme 2019P DDR nickels to be discovered yet, and I found it in probably my 60th or 70th roll of nickels! Im gonna keep hunting to add a 2009 DDR to me ever growing collection of coins!
