LOL...If I knew how to do it I should blow my stick man up and turn the entire square red after the explosion.
Example of a cancelled die where the cancellation doesn't go all the way across. Carson city half dollar die.
Actually, I have the same coin with the same marks in the same places. No cuts. Completely raised, as viewed under 100x magnification. There is also another woman who was held back from resurfacing by some of the coin community members so I cannot get a response from her, but she goes by Linda Falcon. That’s three now with almost identical marks! What say thee?
Sorry but ARE caused by cuts. The picture of the reverse isn't good enough, but blowing up the closeup marks on the obverse clearly show the cuts, and in the orientation of that image the running from lower left to upper right came first and the cut from upper left to lower right came second. The cut on the second cut is on the left side of the mark. I'm not sure if the first cut is on the left or right side of the line.
No, I am sorry, but you are wrong. I find it amusing that some of you folks seem to think that a microscope is so incredibly hard to use, and at the same time less valuable evidence than bowing up someone's picture and analyzing it. Your eyes deceive your mind fella. I am telling you with coin in hand, having placed it under microscope, you cannot find amy insertion of blade, cut, sideways cut, or otherwise. It is completely, 100%, all raised silver. And after discovering two others with the same coin, I believe it to be from a cancelled, or damaged die. But most likely a cancelled die. And that being said, I also believe this will be a very, VERY, valuable coin, as soon as it is recognized as such. Which is how I can understand so many are quick to naysay about it. They wish it wasnt true, because they dont have it, and wish they did.
Each of the three RAISED silver on these coins under magnification, resembles two pieces of dough, rolled into long, skinny pieces, and laid down on the coin, in a criss cross pattern. But you need no magnification that strong when you a looking at the coin in person, you can easily see the raised shapes, and how, because of their form, there is absolutely no way to cut metal, and get the same appearance. I have fabricated with metal for many, many years. And I know this to be true, but it doesn't take someone with much more than just a good eye for detail to see what I am describing. Bottom line, it is a must see in person type of situation. Dont want to take my word for it, I could care less. I am the one with the privilage of owning this great and soon to be valuable coin, and the ability to study it up close. So, I dont need anyone from any forum to validate the coin. I just need and am trying to get in contact with the other two owners (so far) of this cancelled die coin!
This Kennedy Half dollar was damaged by someone using an X-acto knife (sp?) The X cuts made with the 'knife' cut into the surface, leaving a raised line from the cut. It is NOT on the Die, it is not an error - It's man-made damage/alteration - and no amount of coming up any other explanation makes sense, or is correct. Sorry, but it's been CUT with a sharpe knife or blade. Period. The poster who keeps saying 'wrong' is stunningly more wrong that he can know, apparently.
I will save your post so as to remind you later on how your speciation has in turn made you out to look like a complete fool on the matter. I have been well around the block and can definitely tell the difference between cuts in metal, of all types, and raised material (extra material, with absolutely no depression into the coin from any sort of blade you could suggest. Sorry, it is YOU who are another to be in the complete wrong.
I'll tell you what B-D - Get your coin certified as an error or pattern die, from any of the top 4 recognized Authentication Services (PCGS, NGC, ANACS, or ICG) and I'll pay you for your submission fees, postage and registration fees. Your coin will come back from any of those 4 (take your pick) Authentication Services as 'damaged', 'altered' 'cut' or similar wording. It will NOT come back as a genuine
(pressed the wrong key, sorry) It will NOT come back as a genuine Error,Pattern, Specimen, or anything else. Please Please Prove Me Wrong - (you can't, and you won't spend your own money to submit it, even though I will re-imburse you fully if it comes back as any kind of genuine not damaged coin. )
I will gladly send it in, and it has always been my intention to. I dont need to be reimbursed. I am going to be comfortable with the results, because, like I said, I am just trying to get in contact with the, so far, other to people with this exact same coin of which I have seen their photos of. So stay tuned, and get your "proved wrong" shirt to the martinizers.
And you know what, I think it would be fair to say this, it may not be a die cancellation coin, but I can guarantee you that they will not determine these marks, whatever they are, to be knife cuts. That is what I will stand behind. Regardless of what general "category " they would like to categorize it from.
