I recently bought an incomplete collection of Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents. They were housed in a very old Dansco album. A bi-fold cardboard type without the plastic slides. There's a misprint on the top which reads "Fying" Eagle Pennies. I think it's really cool, but I don't collect these and honestly have too many other lines in the water to get started. Can't find much from searching online. Anyone have suggestions on collector value of just the album itself?

There are those that collect old albums but it's tough to put a value on them.

At least the misprint wasn't "Frying Eagle Pennies".

The person to ask would probably be David Lange over on the NGC boards. He wrote the book (two editions) on collecting old coin boards. If anyone would know if it had any value it would be him.

Well "Frying Eagle Pennies" would obviously be Chinese counterfeits :shame:

I see there is only 1 coin in the folder. that would be sweet if it was truly the 1856

I agree, but unfortunately it's so worn I can't distinguish a date even under magnification. There were about 17 on the other page that was included with it. The best was a 1908-S in decent condition, not full Liberty though.

I can't believe Dansco would make such a spelling mistake! :wideyed:
