I disagree. The 1923 ruble coin is quite scarce these days and you might be looking at probably at least 1-2,000 USD. Nice coin by the way.

my dear friends you are looking at a chervonetz trade coin -the 1923 is worth 750 in unc and 1250 in bu with the way the russian market is behaving you would be lucky to get it at that price :) i would reckon a 1000 easy maybe even more than 1500 if you get that graded and it comes out a good number

    To all who have replied,

    I really appreciate the feedback.

I have a place to start.

I guess that I will get it graded. Where?

    Thank you,
    Mike

if you are going to sell it NGC/pcgs ngc gives out higher grades but grade for grade PCGS brings better prices. no need to flame me if your opinion differs and you have drunk from a particular TPG cool aid

    Thanks again,

I will look up grading company or procedure online. Hopefully not too expensive.

This was from my great grandfather's hand me down. I am not a collector - but he had about 20 gold coins and a bunch of USA nice looking coins -who ever knew that there was a 1/2, 2 and 3 cent coin in America, wierd brown color to some of them!!

It would have helped if he label them especially the world coins.

anytime. i would get a recognized and reputed dealer to send the coins in for grading its not worth the effort to send it in yourself if there are just a few coins. also if the other coins are as good as the one you posted you can consign them to heritage that should help you get good returns.
