Looks like a minor off center strike with a bit of finning. Might be called a misaligned die to some.
No.. Just a cud. It's used to describe a break on the Die always involving the edge. So the break on the die will cause the area of the struck blank to be a cud..
Thanks for setting it straight. I thought if both sides were misaligned it would be called off center. I'm learning.
The term 'Cud' was used back in the mid '60's due to most of these large Die Break 'blobs' looked like a cow's (chewing) Cud; the name stuck.
