I found this dime and instantly saw the reverse and my mouth dropped. I've only been coin hunting for 4 months and i have come across 2 other dimes (both of which were clearly environmental damage) but this one seems different from the others. The obverse has some weak striking around the edges and there are no layers i can see from the edge. I know that the only way to confirm that this is a missing clad dime is by weighing it, but unfortunately I currently do not have a proper scale to do that with. I have put a 1998 D as a reference in the photos. I'm not looking for any final results on this by posting this, however I am looking for peoples opinions on this. If anybody could help that'd be awesome! Thanks! missing clad 1.jpg missing clad 2.jpg missing clad 3.jpg missing clad 4.jpg

I'm going to say.. It might be. Last picture seems to be the proper inner core color.

What is the weight. Preferably on an accurate scale in grams to 2 digits

i thought the same. the coloring seems to match and the obverse isn't affected at all with any coloring. thanks for your opinion!!

    Your photos are very dark,
    but without knowing the weight,
I'd say it does look like a reverse
    clad layer missing dime.

If you don’t have any coin shop nearby try a jeweler. They can all give you a weight in grams. Worth the trip. Take a pic on scale if you can
