    Finished the 4 boxes of halves. First 2 were skunks. Second 2 produced 9x90%ers (64Px7, 64Dx2), 13x40%ers (65, 66x3, 67x2, 68Dx5, 69Dx3), Gold Plated, 19Px2.
Total of 5.18oz Ag. Great way to end January.

Outstanding ff! Those long flat boxes of halves are tough in my neck of the woods, usually good for about a 1 silver coin per box average.

Those are the only boxes I get around here. They usually do me pretty well.

I had a pair of britney spaniels as a kid and man it was a nice sight when they would hold a point on a big old rooster pheasant. Not many quail here in Utah. Sounds like you had a fun hunt.

    Any silver in those rolls?

There’s nothing like a big old rooster coming up in front of a bird dog on point! Utah has chukar, at least in the 4 Corners area. Unfortunately, the partial box of MWRs was a skunk. So was the partial bag of halves ($220) and Loomis box I picked up yesterday.

Found an aluminum 1941 French 50 centimes coin, chilling in a roll of dimes. IMG_20200202_135417854~2.jpg IMG_20200202_135725673~2.jpg

The Spitting Horse, there are many varieties of these. They should be as good as the speared bison as far as I am concerned.

Hello everyone, This week I cracked open 15 boxes, 11 Skunks, 4 contained silver, 1-54D Bennie, 2-64's, 1-65,2-66, 3-67, 6-68 and 1-69S proof. I also pulled a few NIFC's, and 87D. It was a very nice week. My last bank told me they will not order halves unless they order for themselves. So from week to week it will be hit and miss at my last bank of the week. Oh well I guess I need to look for another bank. Wishing you all the best, Hope your weekend was wonderful.

No luck lately with halves. Found 2 unusual Kennedys with PMD. The first has wavy lines across the entire obverse. Thought it was fingerprints at first, but it is not. The second was done in a machine shop. Faint small circular scratches in about 7 spots on the obverse give the coin an almost “diamond plate” appearance. Weird.

Made my monthly trip to the neighboring town to get halves. Bought 3 Brinks boxes, the first one was a skunk. Also bought 2 partial bags. The first was $66 - skunk. The second was $223.50 and yielded 1 x 90%er & 8 x 40%ers. I still have the 2 boxes to search later. Happy about finding silver as it has been CWR slow lately.

Tracked down a bag today with about $840 in it. Pulled the silver, 5-90%ers and 21-40%ers. Also had an '82P no FG and my first '92 Olympic half. About $500 left to check hopefully a few more errors in there. :)

I have that Olympic half as well!
I've never seen a counterstamped Kennedy like the one on the right.
    Congrats!

Thanks ff! I was surprised the mintage on that uncirculated Olympic half was only 161,607! But still looks like it's just worth a couple bucks. :) Not sure why Abe and Kennedy are rubbing noses, my first one of those too :D

@Tuco great job finding and searching the bag of halves!

Of two banks tonight, one had 1 loose half...nada, and the other had 2 loose halves...a ‘67 and ‘69, so I’m happy!

Brinks boxes 2 & 3 were skunks. I did find 4 x 1974-D DDO. One of them is in great condition, probably the nicest one of the several hundred I have found.

@TexAg I remain shocked at the number of 74D DDOs you find. I have found only 2 in 5 years of searching. Neither of my finds were in decent condition, which adds further insult :(

Oh well, I’m still happy for you!

I just went through 10 Bank wrapped rolls of pennies and found 5 wheat pennies — there are 2 from 1941, one 1958 d, one 1937, and a 1919 d. You don’t normally find pre-40s nowadays. Very happy with my finds.
