Do you keep them all? Just certain ones? Do you keep the ones in bad condition? I'm not sure which ones I should keep.
I keep them until I look them up. Unless they are REAL scarce I spend them. I also keep them if they are AU-CU or consecutive.
Where I live the banks don't get new notes in very often, so I end up with whatever star notes I get circulated. So I have so far kept everything that I pick up when going thru bundles of ones. Your preference, keep what you like. If you can afford to, keep them all or just specific ones. It partially depends on what you want to collect and keep. Smaugy....
i keep every $1 star note i find. $5's too, but i dont see many of those. $10's and up are hit or miss. I dont see alot of them, which is good, since IF i do see them, i start counting how much money i have lol
Lately I've been buy all the $1 star notes I come across at the bank, but I need to go through them and probably get rid of some at some point...as I bet I have a couple hundred dollars worth sitting around with who knows how many duplicates.
i keep all the $1 i get and $5, but i only keep one of each run on the 10's 20's 50's 100's dollar bills. not that i have a lot of them but if i find a different run $100 i keep it. if its from the same run i check condition if there in the same condition i keep the best s/n.
