Attach a photo and maybe I can help :)

    Edit: photo up.

But, no mintmark. Mintmark is on reverse.

Oh, that's right. Is that still a error mark?

He's right ya know... that's the designer's initials on the obverse, AW for Adolph Weinman...

You didn't show the reverse and that's where the mintmark is.

You have been a member since March of 2018, almost 2 years. But, you show as being a new member. And, you still don't know where the mint mark is on coin?

Either way, that coin is beat. No error

  10. And it's Winged Liberty, not Mercury. Just sayin'.

Lets not get in this debate. Its like those people who argue whether its a "penny" or a "cent".

Both terms are acceptable as listed in the Red Book. I usually insert my left leg first when putting my pants on. Lol :woot::sorry:

Need to alternate. That way neither leg gets left out of the fun of being the first leg in, and no fights or hard feelings ensue.

It's just like the Barber or Liberty Head Dime. Either name applies. This is a copy of my Red Book. Either name is acceptable.

    Actually.. Winged Liberty Head ;)

When metal detecting with my friends we usually shout out "I found a Merc!".. Much easier than shouting "I found a winged liberty head"

Yes, unless you are writing a book or teaching a class, the coin community uses handles that everyone recognizes. In my 70 years of collecting this coin has been called a "Mercury Dime". Like you say "...I found a Merc..."
