Well, yes. One can imagine what that would be like. OTOH I am surprised that a certain present day monarch in training has not started to strike coins in his image, maybe with a FEL TEMP REPARATIO reverse in English, which is close to a certain modern phrase in intent.

The coin pictured below is a 1st issue Tetradrachm of Trebonianus Gallus, AD 251, like the coin posted by Pellinore, however, his coin was minted by the 6th officina & mine was minted by the 1st officina. One unusual feature with both of these coins is both obverse & reverse have officina marks . In the case of Pellinore's coin it's the letter S, with my coin a single dot is used on the obverse & the letter A is used on the reverse. Another unusual feature for the Tets of Gallus is no coins from Antioch were struck from the 5th officina, but they were struck from officina 1-4 & 6-7, this also applies to the double denarii struck at Antioch . McAlee speculates that the workers from officina 5 could have defected with the usurper Uranius Antoninus to Emesa, Syria to set up a mint at that location. Food for thought....

Thanks once again for all of the cool coins. I just pulled the trigger on a DACIA sestertius of T. Decius yesterday. Another actor in the drama. I'll show it when it arrives. There was an excellent thread started by @Roman Collector discussing draco standards here by way of reference. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/this-is-not-a-donkey-head.336071/
