Picked this one up for a bargain price. Dealer had it attributed to Seleucia-Piera but without much else to go on. I think it's Apollo on the obverse and Zeus Nikephoros on the reverse. This is such a common combination of devices that an acsearchinfo search is next to useless. I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance! Greek bronze struck on a beveled flan 9.74 g, 23.2 mm, 1 h. Obv: Head (Apollo?) facing r. Rev: Zeus Nikephoros enthroned left, holding statuette and scepter. ΑΔΩΝ...? right field.
I have an example with Demeter on the Obverse. Smaller and lighter than the Apollo types, I must admit that I don't understand why. Adana, Cilicia 5.70g, 20mm Obv - Veiled head of Demeter Right Rev - Zeus Nikephoros enthroned Left, holding Sceptre & Nike Monogram in L field, ADANEON behind
