hello all i have a quick question i have a number of wheats that i have accumulated over the years through roll searching and changing them out of the register at work i was wondering what would dealers pay for bulk? i'm trying to earn some more money for some semi-key and key date lincolns thanks in advance
I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that the rate would probably equate to double face value or so. That's just a guess anyway.
Hi Wheatman21, The local coin dealer said they are paying 1 1/2 cents per coin right now. I think he meant for copper coins only. jeankay
Depending on the amount you have, your local coin dealer will probably be in the 2-3 cents range. I'm sure you searched through them for keys and semi-keys, but did you check for all the expensive and rare varieties? Get a good book on lincolns, or go to: http://www.coppercoins.com or: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/index.html
The local coin shop sells for 3.7 cents and buys back at 3 cents. So I typically buy 5000 and it cost me $35 dollars to go through them. But I normally find a few low money key dates to make it work my while.
Yes 3 to 4 cents if you find the right dealer. I have sold rolls of cent on Ebay and received 0.0495 cents per coin. I sold 18 rolls and received $44.55 after shipping.
