Changes are made from time to time and two other coins may be selected like "any State Quarter or President Dollar OR more may be required.

Clinker you could put those all into one post, but clicking edit and adding them in, instead of posting 5 times in a row.

They had it when I was in Scouts ... and I earned it along with the rest I needed for Eagle.

    Setting up for the badge

    Well,

As I had mentioned some time ago we have a young man working at our shop.

He's a Boy Scout and was working on that Merit Badge.

Problem is that none of his counselors had any real coin knowledge so they asked us at the shop. Well today I got the honor!

Now as much as I clown around (I'm like that in person too) this was serious stuff. It was an unusually slow day so I had the list and me and Matt went at it.
Actually spent a few hours with him on this list.

He did well and learned a few things while we were at it. He deserves the badge and I was honored to recommend it. Now we'll see how the Scouts handle it.

You know what was really cool about the whole thing? Matt sincerely thanked me for my time and effort. The boss has taught him a lot as has my coworker Scott.
Nice to see a kid that really appreciates it.

I see a very bright future for this young man.

Aren't coins from the bank or the change machine circulating?
Sure they are. So are the once you get in the post office stamp machines.
