Thanks, Steve! Definitely fulfilling to have completed my 1914 series. Don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford any of the 1918 series stuff so this will do just fine. On a side note, being new to this hobby, I’m guessing that Legacy Currency Grading is another TPG? If so, is there some indication that they’ll be going out of business soon? Just curious as to if their graded notes will be more “desirable” over other TPGs or does that have nothing to do with anything? Thanks! I probably won’t be upgrading anything expect for looking for a higher graded 1914 $50 FRN. Would definitely have to be 60 EPQ/PPQ+ range though. I’m happy and content with the grades I have for the 1914 series on all the other notes. Gonna start looking at those 1896 Educational notes next. Those have always intrigued me and I wouldn’t mind owning a set.
Those educational notes are for sure a winner i try and upgrade when i can the problem with that is, i already have most of the notes in 68 or better but there are few exceptions, but i have to wait until people die before i can get my hands on them...LOL
My latest addition. So far, this serial number range is unreported by the BEP production reports. I like the centering on this note.
you obviously misunderstood, since i collect and invest in Military Payment Certificates, and everybody knows that on this forum, maybe you forgot ? ...LOL
I thought so too Steve. There's no mention of MPC's in @mpcusa's above post. But there is mention of Educational Notes.
Fair enough, but you havent been on this forum very long, so i will give you that but trying to find an excuse for the so called EXPERT well that,s another matter so glad that this site has an ignore button...LOL
So everyone here is supposed to know that you're a collector of only one specific item, mpc's? I collect coins, exonumia, and recently some paper currency. Others also collect multiple lines. Why would we think you have zero interest in anything else? Ignore? LMAO. Have at it.
i have been on this site for over 12 years, and i know allot of people including the so called EXPERT, who knows what i collect thus the handle (MPCUSA) kinda of self explanatory i think, but my main focus has been and always be Military Payment Certificates, a few people like the so called EXPERT are just haters, and know ZERO about MPC, but yet try,s to tell me what there worth....LOL. have heard his non sense on several threads including this one, i guess he has nothing better to do the insult other members, but i always consider the source i do have interest in bullion besides MPC, like Krugers and the Queens beast Series (GOLD) Johnson Matthey and Engelhard 10 OZ bars (Silver) have a nice collection of those going, here,s a couple examples, i hope its alright with the so called EXPERT, i am sure i will receive a great comment from him ") And the ignore comment was not aimed at you Master, just so were clear on that. There,s a small sampling
Recent addition from a Coin Talk member. Wonderful margins, front and rear, on this 1981 $20 Boston replacement note.
