Hi folks, new to the forum, just wanted to share my little story.

I just recently got into collecting coins, mainly from the change I had lying around, looking for anything interesting.

Woke up early this morning, very tired. Figured i'd go get some coffee for my family and I. Stopped at the local gas station. As the clerk gave my change, I heard that familliar silver jingle, and got a little excited. In change, I received 1 Standing Liberty Quarter, date unknown (very circulated). 1 1957 silver quarter, probably fine. 1 1960 silver quarter, fine or better. How's that for beginner's luck?

Are standing liberty quarters that common? I can't even remember seeing one before this (in circulation).

    Thanks for reading!

    Nice finds

I'd go back to the gas station and ask him for all his quarters in his till. Sounds like he received a roll of silver from someone.

    Goed

    Welcome to the Forum Chaosult,
With luck like that maybe today is THE day to buy a lotto ticket!!
Standing Lib's are not EVER found, in any condition by me in circulation.

I have found a hand full of 1960-1964 quarters but never a standing liberty. I would also go back to that store and see if you can find any more. Good Score
