I agree. Back in the day, folks cleaned their coins to make them look pretty. It was even normal practice for the Smithsonian. Over time opinions changed and cleaning slowed down. Today most/many Bust Half Dollars have gained secondary toning and are looking much more natural. The services forgive the old cleaning and straight grade them. I agree with that practice.
Not really. It's not as easy as "3 letters of LIBERTY" equals Fine; full, but weak LIBERTY equals Very Fine; strong LIBERTY equals VF+ as with Seated coins. For example...no one would grade this as VF-30.
@Islander80-83 That's a nice looking one. Hard to tell from the photo. It is that an overdate or anything? The '24's had a few with the 4 over something.
Several overdates for one. I'm. It sure ANACS would list it if you didn't pay for it so that why I'm asking you to check it.
