Nice! I like the Bicentennial of the Congress commemorative.

1 of 3 banks had halves tonight. $200 in CWRs. I immediately smelled a dump because this bank’s order limit is $200/mo without a fee. I was correct...Skunked by another CRHer’s dump. Oh well, I was due to find nothing. Just gotta keep at it.

Stopped into one of my dump banks to get rid of some nickels and dimes, and when I went to cash in the ticket asked the teller if she had any halves.

She had exactly 2 loose halves in her drawer...

Nothing like the smell of silver in the morning :)

My box last night netted me 14 wheaties (1918 was the eldest). Today I’ve got a wheat on the end and a decent wood grain (is that what they are called?).
Edit: another one, same box. Just common finds (25,35,41,42,44,55,56)

Woodie, nice one. Maybe technically considered environmental damage?... environmental damage, -I'm still trying to sort that out. I consider it gracefully aged.

53D not from roll, just pocket change. Otherwise I've just a bunch of die cracks, cuds and distractions here. I find it difficult to find anything. I live in NY and our currency is used and abused. I have not come across any circulated silver in about 8 years. I think those days are over. 200104_150524.jpg 200104_144752.jpg

Been WAY too long. Grabbed $16.50 loose halves and came out with one 40%er. Of course now I want a box!

I started working at the liquor store again, and I'm glad to be finding coins again. Day four now, found one war nickel each day. Nothing special, just a toast. Cheers! 20200123_003922.jpg 20200123_003955.jpg

@bruthajoe Well Joe, perseverance paid off with an RPM. One of the no doubter varieties. I’m not sure if you are in the city but usually pockets where older communities exist become better hunting grounds. A bank in those areas might suit your purposes better.

Always looking for a reason to take a road trip. It's on my itinerary. Just gotta get through the rest of my pocket change. 20years worth.

Until recently, I would've gone with "vending machine operator", but I guess at this point most vending traffic is credit-card or phone-pay, followed by paper money.

I'm out of coins to hunt, but if anyone is getting skunked you can feel better knowing you didn't pay 50 cents each for these :D
