Is this worth slabbing? If so, what company?

    Would it go above MS?

It's got a shot to go above MS, but I am not so good with this series. It's tough to see whether there is wear or not from the pics.

I'd say any of the top 3 tpgs .

What I'm seeing is an 1864, Large Motto, 2-cent coin.
    MS is a distinct possibility.
Possibly an RB (definitely not RD.)
Value less than $300 (unless it were to go MS-65).
    Borderline case for me.
Go with NGC or PCGS if decide to slab.

Again, I agree with Kanga. I would definately slab it. For the cost of a gallon of ice cream you could protect your coin forever. If you want the most critical, highest return for your coin, go with PCGS but if you want a higher grade (maybe) go with NGC. But I highly favor coins graded by either of those two. If its another grader, I buy only if its a real good price. Then If I really value the coin I will have it re-graded by PCGS or NGC.

Did you guys look at the deep scratch above the S in CENTS ? I suspect the coin would be body-bagged.

    I disagree.
If every coin that had a scratch got body bagged there wouldn't be nearly as many slabs.
Depending on the presumed cause of the scratch, the TPG might knock a couple points off the grade, but I still think it gets slabbed.

To me, it is only worth slabbing if it is above MS. So, do you think if i send this in, it would be at least MS-61?
