These are the best photos I can offer (because it's not my coin). What do you think?

imo - fake letters are not right, look at the S in states, and look at the S in silver, should be shaped the same.

Weight? Diameter? Magnetic? It looks iffy for a 2011, but it doesn't display the markers for a Chinese counterfeits I have.

I don’t like it. I can’t put my fingers on any one thing, but it don’t feel right. Playoffs are on so I’m not gonna go dig out my ASE’s right now. But ASE’s are common enough that I would pass this one by.

Not enough information to make an accurate determination. The Chinese counterfeits are getting so good, it's getting harder to tell.

Me too. I have a bunch of 2011's and I can't tell from the pics. But, it just doesn't look right

How about the line on the Obv. that runs from the T to inbetween the E and R going counterclockwise. Looks raised from the pictures. If so, that should ice it.

In early 2013 numismatic press reported that fake 2011 ASE's had come to light in Canada. See Coin World, "Fake American Eagle Silver Coins Surface," February 4, 2013.

The side by side seals it for me. I can see all kinds of small inconsistencies. Count the folds in her blouse for example.

I don't have access to the Coin World article that I mentioned. But, it would be nice to see if there are any photos of the fakes. Then compare it to this one.

The fakes in that article are older versions that are much easier to tell. I'm afraid those photos wouldn't help here.

I’m more inclined to say genuine from those pics.

All the details are right. The lighting requires some interpretation, but it is all there.

The color is the correct color for silver.

    The weight is right.

    And the thickness looks believable.

So my conclusion is genuine. Abused, but genuine.
