Found one for my type set.... $22 shipped, should I buy He says it is VF, IMHO it is more like a VG/F with a damaged edge: stainless
I bought it anyways.... Just kidding, I told him no deal (Don't you guys want to kill me right now...lol):hammer::hammer: thanks a bunch for the help all stainless
Totally pass on that piece of crap. You just put a "want" on the open forum. I may even respond to that.
pass, its ugly, Is that really a coin your attracted to? Why buy a coin to fill a hole? Buy a Nice coin, to Finish that NICE set. IMO
The 1858 is such a common date, that there is absolutely no reason to buy a coin like that. If you want to cut your cost, buy a low G-VG grade that has a nice color, and no major marks. The edge damage is completely unacceptable, and it looks to be badly corroded. Of course, there is some value to the coin, and there is always someone who will appreciate it. But there are better values.
If you want a FE, just go to your loacl dealer. I would bet money they could find an original, problem-free 1858 FE in a lower grade for similiar money. You could even check their bulk tray.
he didnt DO anything, you guys just disagreed on a grade, that happens all teh time, dont worry about it, I would go back
No, that is not all he did, You know that 3 cent nickle I bought? I bought it because I thought I was getting a deal, He said it was a problem free coin. I didn't know about corrosion or anything. He always tries to sell me his junk because he knows I am new, usually I know a little bit so I don't buy it, but he has gotten me plenty of times. He shows me it, gives me a very cheap price, and I buy. And usually I don't even ask to see the coins he throws at me. I know it is somewhat my fault, but if I were a coin dealer, I would try to help the newbies and sell them good stuff, not decieve them and try to sell them all my junk. stainless
