Take another set of pictures that shows clearly the following areas: -cheek -jawline -neck -back of neck (adjacent to braid) These are the areas that are most commonly weak. It is very difficult to judge these areas from these pictures. What I see looks good, but if anything is going to prevent a CAM its going to be one of those areas.
Unless it's deep/ultra cameo, I know that it can be hard to take pics of the cameo. Judging by your pics, it's really hard to tell because to me, the lighting "hides" the surface quality differences on the devices and fields. On a bit of a tangent, NGC's price guide for this 1967 SMS quarter labels this coin as a "PF" instead of an MS (like on the slabs for the coin). Curious as no proofs were made. NGC does include SMS on the label and MS with a numerical grade and Cameo or UC if applicable, whereas PCGS uses a SP designation for the SMS coins excepting the OGH slabs where SMS is noted on the label.
No cameo. The bust looks 65 but the rest looks spectacular! Very, very nice coin, fields and lettering 66/67...if you held my feet to the fire I would say overall a 66. I’m reading that our experts are saying it might be a cameo, is that because of the date and SMS? Are there different rules for SMS?…Kinda like allowances made for ‘50s nickels?…the dies used? Forever in learning mode…Spark

Yeah, my profile pic dates my account here. I had SUCH high hopes for RG3. I grew up in a time when my beloved Redskins went to the Super Bowl every few years. In 9 years they went to 4 Super Bowls winning 3, 5 NFC championship games winning 4, and only missed the playoffs once. It's been a rough 28 years since.
