Why in gods name would they put a spider on their money? Not right at all.

Have you ever been there? There are massive spiders galore there. I had one hiss at me once. Not the most fun experience.

couple of photos from my time there. First is a golden orb weaver. Second is a massive spider web I ran across. Young children avert your eyes.

Recently picked up this little set for the low mintage and odd denominations. Silver is 10 cents and the gold is $2.

The really gross ones are the Huntsman that eat birds and bigger. Of course there's more deadly smaller ones but most people will lose it if a cat sized spider is near them

Most people I knew there didn’t mind huntsman. In fact most places I lived had a couple in the house. They’d eat all the bugs. But they do get big. I saw one once that probably 8 inches across.

Funny I thought it was some kind of fish until I looked it up on Numista.
