Got this dime earlier today in change, and noticed the discoloration of the coin. I thought at first it may have been from someone's metal detecting find, but thought it did not look quite the same. Anyone know what possibly happened to the dime and/or if this is special in any way? Thanks!
Good call you guy's. But the third side (rim) makes me think it is plated. It should show the clad layers, if it was exposed. That leaves us to missing clad layers, which the coin is not thin enough, or light in weight enough.
