I agree it does look possible it's a seam, looks a little jagged in places.

Rotated die - 90 degrees out of alignment. A legitimate error.

Couldn't weighing the coin tell us if it real, if it has the proper weight for that date?

I'm curious why you think this coin will help you in retirement?

Have you been watching totally misleading YouTube videos or clickbait websites?

I thought the same thing. She’s young, plenty of time to learn.

Weighing might help to see if in tolerance. There are two types of the modified coins, a magician coin which can alter one side , to make double sided coins or like this rotated ones using a mini-lathe and also there are others that mimic the 'spy coins' where a section is removed from the replaced part so there is a small space inside the coin, as in old fashion microfilm. The first would be close, the second would be out of tolerances.
As was said, that part looks a little off, but most likely isn't actually, we just have the photos. That is a lot of work for that much rotation though. Good luck

I figured, if I have enough coins worth $10 to $50 each it's a retirement fund.. lol

A rotated die is something I have never found all the years I have searched, not even a slight rotation.

No, not really. You have to get in at a angel with your pictures. Maybe 45 degrees. Something like this, so we can see if there is a seam there.
