    Well I wouldn't have drawn those lines over the surface of the coin, even if it's on the cellophane. There was no need to do that. Always try and take the pictures of your coins outside the holders/2x2's.

    Just do something like this..

    Condition issues. Probably in the $20 range.

    If I were to gauge the rotation of the coin based on your first two photos, I would think that the position of the staples are not the same in both photos. In other words, the 2x2 appears to have been rotated 90 degrees. If you're trying to prove rotation using the 2x2, you should take photos showing the entire 2x2. As it stands, I don't see that there is any rotation. ~ Chris

    Can you get a better/clearer/directly overhead shot of the reverse? I think I see a seam but I want to rule out that it is a magician's coin.

    Looks like a substantial rotation for a modern US issue

    Please enlighten me, what's so special about a 1987 quarter?

    If it's a legitimate rotated die and not a magician's coin like @furryfrog02 said, it's a nice find.

    @cpm9ball ...Chris, posts 6 and 10 show a rotation of about 90 degrees...Spark

    Thanks. It's a 1913 Var-1. It's in my Dansco 7070.

    I still think I see a possible seam around the reverse. Waiting on new pictures.

    I'm guessing you're right! I got fooled years ago on a Kennedy Half magician's coin.
