Hello! I just found this 1941 nickel in my coin jar. It's pretty worn, so I don't expect it to be worth anything. But I've never seen these types of numbers stamped into a coin and wondered if it was unusual?
Ihc 222 Does that explain this 222 on this Indian Head Cent also? I think it is something more mysterious than just someone playing with a stamp. Maybe it is a secret code, and now that two of us have 222, they are waiting for a third 2... teehee... then, well, then... OH NO, you are clone45 and I haven't welcomed you yet! Where are my manners? Welcome CT and I hope you have a great time. Lots of good people here and not all of them have a coin that has 222 stamped on it. jeankay
jeankay: If someone else had a 222 coin, then it would be evil, since it would add to 666. And we all know what that means! (duck!)
Treas, Duck... where? I don't see a duck... wait a minute... I think I see ... oops! Gotta quit looking up... yucky ducky. Evil duck! jeankay
IHC 222 reverse Okay, you got it! Anyone have any idea what it means.. Secret code? Someone had a lot of stamps to try out... why only 2's on the other side? Mysteries... don'tcha love em? jeankay
Hi Clone45, Until you posted your 222 I had forgotten about my crazy 222. Yours has totally different styled numbers. Looks more modern. I am still thinking it is some sort of code... the unknown can sometimes be fun... when it doesn't turn out to be too scary. Do you have any other coins to post? Tell us about what you are collecting. jeankay
It seems pretty obvious that someone arbitrarily punched some numbers on those coins. Post mint DAMAGE. Oh. Welcome to CT. You'll learn a lot here. Bruce
