Not really. I would just be looking for something that's nice/pretty. I'm looking for a nice Bust quarter but I could buy two nice Bust half dollars for the same money.

You can get decent AUs for that price. I particularly like anything 1826 and prior

With that kind of money, a nice bust half or dollar would be calling me. At my local coin shop I have bids in on half-a-dozen busties.

Folks: I thought by submitting this question, my quest would be simplified. No. Your collective wisdom, experience, and enthusiasm has made it infinitely more difficult. I thank you for that and will post my eventual purchase when I finally (ahem!) get off the dime. Until then, please feel free to recommend other coins and savor my indecisiveness. Again, my thanks to all! (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/windfall.351241/page-2)

They sure are nice looking coins. A great design. I thought more members said a Bust than anything else.

I was thinking "I'd put it aside and keep adding to it for a little while.) because there is nothing on my SERIOUS wishlist that I could get for $1,00 or $1,500. But I like GeorgeM's suggestion of the ARAMCO disc, and I had forgotten that I have been wanting a MS 1820 N-13 like the one that Typecoin posted. I could go for either one of those.

$1,500 would get this collector a sharply hammered 1937 Buffalo nickel proof I’ve been salivating over. Unfortunately, it’s down the list a bit in my collecting priorities.

Out of curiosity, what did you end up getting?

A PCGS-graded AU58 1813 Bustie. Yep, it exceeded my windfall but I couldn't resist. Still, those new found bucks DID lessen the sting considerably. Thanks to all the CT responses though, I've revised several of my priorities. Coin arrived today. Will post a photo of the blesssed event shortly.

Pan-Pac Hexagonal gold, but with those meager funds provided, I doubt I could even kiss Minnervas shoes..........

Oh, ANA's Rod Gillis has a heartbreaking story about a hexagonal Pan-Pac double eagle that will bring tears to your eyes! What fools these mortals be!!
