Please, what is that (i suppose it is eight sided?) coin in the upper right of the photo? I never saw anything like it before....except a button or a bead... Thanks in advance. Always fun to read your posts @galba68 !

Looks interesting! Is that a Roman weight? (I suppose it comes from a late Roman context).

Hi @galba68.....Great finds again!....Looks like there are some nicely detailed coins under that mud?........

I don't know about anyone else but I do find your MD finds a bit frustrating!
As you know I'm a MD'er too and one of the reasons I love this hobby is discovering and showing the pieces I find to fellow collectors. In fact the 'highlight' of what I do is to actually to discover what I've found!..Yet very rarely do we see the end cleaned result from you!....
IMO its a bit of a shame, as I can see some of these finds have a lot of detail under the gunk! But we never get to see it and realise what it is!
I always follow your finds and share in your excitement but one week later return to see what the results were but there's hardly ever any follow up?.....Bit of let down and quite frustrating but everyone to their own!.....Just a thought.......Paul

Hi Paul..I know that..But, Im not passionate collector, if I find countermarked coin, I keep it for myself..I sell most things to collectors who do not want their coins be cleaned off the dirt..Just in case if I see the great potential in coins, I give to my friend for cleaning..I gave him Vetranio maiorina, Domitian as and this Hadrianus to clean, and after cleaning I will post photos..I was postinig photos before...And, each cleaning cost me 10- 30 dollars, depends on the coin..
