My first acquisition of the new year

    Orfew Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus

I thought about this one for a while before buying it. In the end the price was reduced and I had to have it. This early coin of Titus as emperor is very rare. the left facing portrait on this type is much rarer than the right facing variety.

Titus is a great way to start off the New Year, Orfew. I like it!

My collection is pretty scanty in the Titus area - here is my favorite, if not in very good condition, Venus standing. It may be a fourree:

Great way to begin the new year with a coin of the twelve Caesars. Here's my only one of Titus which was struck in Judea during the reign of the last Herodian king Agrippa II. Hendin 612.

A decent example at a fair price. I'm glad you got it Andrew, you're not likely to come across another for quite some time!

My favorite Titus is this Eastern mint bull. The coin was said to be ex. Mabbott collection but I do not have that catalog to check.

Nice coin Andrew! Before I opened the thread, I read the title... I thought: “HAS to be a Flavian”.

Well, yup I was right, but... wow, what a GREAT find! Congrats!
