Is a Miliaresion worth 24 or 15 follis?

I am a bit confused. I have always thought that a Byzantine miliaresion (silver coin) was worth 24 follis. I have stated it several times, and nobody corrected me.

But if I understand David Sears figure correct he is saying that it is actually worth 15 follis.

Anyone here who can tell me how much worth a Miliaresion was to follis? Was it 24 or 15?

It was 15 folles. The measurement is as follows:

    1 solidus = 24 keratia = 180 folles = 7200 nummi
    1 keration = 7½ folles = 300 nummi
    1 folles = 40 nummi

The miliaresion was equivalent to 2 keratia and thus 15 folles or 600 nummi. Keratia was a unit of weight which is equivalent to 0.189 g...

Thanks @Quant.Geek - I had harbored this same question since I started collecting 40 nummi pieces a few years back.
