I took two XHTML classes to see if I could learn website development.
Many of you have already helped by critiquing my layout.
I'm about two-thirds done now and before I go further I would like you to take another look.
I want to implement changes before I get too much further.

Please give me some constructive criticism if you feel it's warranted.
Positive comments are more than welcome too so that my ego doesn't take too much of a beating.

Well I have just had a look now do you realy want me to be honest!!

Ok well you asked for it, I think your coins are horrible and you should send them off to me for disposal right away LOL

Honestly I realy like your copper selection those half cents look amazing

One thing that I coudnt see though was a guest book so people can leave comments, let us know when it is compleat as I for one will enjoy trawling through it :thumb:

I think it would be better to look at once it's finished. Gets kinda frustrating to click onto each heading and sub-heading only to find out that there's nothing there. Fill in the blanks, post some pics and then lets see. Also . . . in my opinion only, I'd like to see the entire slab, not just the coin. Then we know if it's graded, by whom and whether or not there's any Grading notes with it. But nice copper pics so far.

O yeah, I'd also like to see notes on what else you're looking for.

I think you have done an excellent job.

This is picky, but is personal taste and what I tell the web group that works for me. Now note I am not a web designer, but I look at this from the user perspective. Remember some of this is just personal taste. First page the font is too big - I would make it smaller, then move the second page to the first page. Now you have intro and definition on the first page. Then you would enter the site - a new page containing copper, nickel, silver, gold. If you click on copper - I prefer you go to a new page with only copper listed with a like back to metals page. I really dis-like jumping around on page and I prefer no scrolling if at all possible. Plus with broken links you might only have the copper page down rather than the whole page to copper, nickel, etc. Then with a coin up you need to be able to go to home page, metal page or back to coin page. I think you have done an excellent job and these are just my own opinions.

Well I did note that some of the copper points to the same coin.

Site is ok to navigate, some of the pics need correcting. :)

Okay, a coding omission has been corrected.
Haleiwa was the first to spot that problem.

Now I have to go back and correct the links that are apparently pointing to the wrong coins.

    Links have been corrected.
I believe it now works as intended.
Pages 1 and 2 have now been combined.

Let's see if I can get the silver and gold added without all the omissions I make in the first trial.

Looks good so far and I would be proud to have some of the nicer pieces you have.

hello kanga.....I liked your website a lot but still got some suggestions:
1.Try getting thumbnail preview by the side of the individual coin titles.
2.The bg picture is too dull.
3.Try adding flash objects to make it look more attractive.
4.The fonts could also use some improvements.
Lemme know when you are finished with more improvements.....don't take my criticism too hard....my friends say I have bad taste anyway.....I'm working on my coin and stamp website too but its gonna take couple more months for public release.....best of luck tagging...:thumb:

I think your doing great. Take that from someone with FRESH experience at learning that the internet works beyond message boards and auction houses.

As you learn more, it becomes a snowball going downhill.

    2 Thumbs up !!

Need to get one coin (it's coming) and then an hour or two more of coding and then my website should be up and running.

Actually I need more than one coin, but this one has already been coded in so there would be a hiccup without it.
    Maybe tomorrow.
