Unusual nickel — pmd or something else

    Hello. I’m new to this group and very new to coin collecting. I found this unusual nickel at work and I’m curious if this is post mint damage or something else. I’ve tried to take a decent picture, but I don’t have great equipment.

    Both sides are damaged.

    Worth? maybe 5 cents if the store will accept it.

    I had a feeling. Thanks to all who responded. good thing I work at a bank and can stick it back in a roll.

    Since you work at a bank you should learn what to look for both in coin and paper money. :)
