1990 no mint mark proof

    I have a mirror finished 1990 no mint mark penny can some one help me out to see if it's a proof or not.

    Not a proof. Normal business strike minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark)

    Check the third side of the coin. If it has a very square edge it is a proof, if the edge is chamfered, it's a business strike.

    Brad...buy a proof penny for a couple bucks. Its hard to really tell from photos what to look for and see. Once you have one in your hand and examine it, you will never mistake one again. I used to constantly think I had a proof until I bought a set and now its like night and day and so easy to distinguish.
