Hi, I'm new here and am curious if there is any value in the coins below, images of each are included. 1929 Wheat penny no mint mark 1943 steel penny (sticks to a magnet) 1947 penny - there appears to be an error on the '1' in the 1947 date if you zoom in 1963 D - possible error in the 'L' in Liberty? Thank you in advance.
1929 - no mint mark minted in Philadelphia - 2 Cents 1943 - $1.00 1947 - Damaged - 1 Cent 1963 - Damaged - 1 Cent
I can buy 1943 cents 6 for $1.00 or $.17 each. The can be clean as the date they were minted, replated or reprocessed, or have a little to a lot of rust spots. That year is all very common.
First, welcome to the neighborhood, Mike! Since the condition of each coin is of considerable importance when guesstimating the value, it is always best that you provide images of both sides (obverse & reverse) of each coin. ~ Chris
The reason 1943 pennies were made of steel was because they were saving copper for WWII. Any 1943 copper pennies are either fake or a very rare error. I think only 40 real errors were found and they are worth around $70,000 based on their condition.
