Hi All, I found a 2000 penny that has some errors. The word "trust" runs into the border of the penny, the L is closer to the edge than should be and there is an extra ridge along the bottom border and top border. To me it looks the penny was pressed off center slightly downward when minted. Please let me know what you think ie. any value? Am I seeing this correctly? Any input from those who know much more than I is appreciated. Thanks,
Your coin is normal for being made from worn out, over used dies and having a metal composition of zinc. It also appears to have had a bit of grease or debris on the coin when it was struck. All normal things. Welcome to CT.
Welcome to CT. Your photos leave a lot to be desired. May I recommend that you use two light sources to help eliminate the glare and always post full view of obverse and reverse, that is correctly orientated, cropped to show just the coin. Also, please post your photos FULL SIZE instead of thumbnail.
Thank you all for your help. I will keep in mind better image quality and will try to repost. Kind regards,
