Nice, it's on both sides! A beautiful example!

The more lettering and details that are missing the better.
Yes this is a nice mint error.

I dont know, I read most of that reference and it sounds like a grease filled, other than #6 in the differences part of the article. Which is the even weakness on both sides .. but it's not that even because the top half of the obverse is in alot better shape than the top half of the reverse

And especially the rim of the coin. It's really there, versus a weak strike would have a less defined rim

Nice state quarter mint error! I also think the deeply-defined rim indicates a struck through grease, rather than die adjustment.

Is this worth anything more than face value? I'm not selling it, I am just curious.. for future reference

In my opinion, worth maybe $5.00. It's nice, different and it's a true Mint error. At the same time, it's a common error and you'll never retire on it. Personally, I'd keep it.

Oh of course. I would never expect to get rich off pocket change. I'm just curious on if any of these common errors I am finding everyday are worth anything more than face value. I've seen this coin on Ebay going for ... I think it was like 25 to 50 bucks, and those showed more detail than mine. But idk anything about Ebay so I dont believe what I see on there to be a price guide lol.

Mint Error news (a eZine) usually has a generic error price guide in the last 10 or so pages... might eye ball that.

eBay is overpriced to me but there is always someone willing.

I also think it’s worth around $5-10. Definitely a keeper though, since the struck through is more on the favorable reverse side.
