NO I would not suggest it
The first has damage and the second is not naturally toned IMO

Not convinced that 1889S is genuine.

i bought it from a reputable coin dealer, it has the correct weight too. Is it the tone?

Maybe just the pic, but the date and some of the lettering looks off to me. The D in Dollar looks too narrow, etc.

    Let's get some more opinions.:)

No. The first is damaged and the second one just seems...off.

I too doubt the authenticity of the '89-S.

How much would these coins be worth with the grades you expect ? Conversely, how much did you pay for them ?

The 89-S looks bad. The digits in the date are too narrow, and the details in the hair and feathers are too sharp for the wear apparent on the coin.

89 S is a bad fake. Silly looking!

It would be a waste of money to do so. Damaged, Artificially Toned and that 1893-S is a fake. Just look at it compared to the others.

Um, if you're seeing an 1893-S, I think you need to look more closely... ;)

A really bad fake, then; they got the date wrong!

My mistake Jeff. I said 1893-S but I meant 1889-S. Maybe I need a nap.

Reputable? Did he/she mention any of the obvious problems? I’d call the 1892 “Scarface” and the 1889-S “Mrs Bad Penny”.

If you just want to try and have them graded if you have 8 more coins to go with them you can send them to ANACS when they have there 10 coins for $10 each Special

Neiter are worth grading. As stated above, the 1889 S is a counterfeit
