Squeezed in a Brinks box of halves today, the last of 2019 - skunk! :banghead:
I do have a box of quarters to open tomorrow, hoping for some Ws on New Year’s Day!

Just wondering if @TexAg has got you beat. He's the half dollar beast in my book

Funny, I just finished summarizing my 2019 Half Dollar search and I saw this from @Cheech9712!
    Similar numbers to @Arby, lol.
I searched 278,381 halves and found:
193 x 90%ers & 719 x 40%ers for a total of 912 silvers, or 0.328% success rate. My success rate has fallen over last 2 years though. Hopefully, we all will continue to find silver in 2020!

You say that, even as you continue doing your best to make sure there's none left... ;)

Hard time getting MWRs from my usual branches today.
Got just 12 rolls of nickels, but did score 1 silver.

California sucks. I am 0 for 87 boxes in half dollars, 1 for 44 in Quarters. This hobby sucks. I'm out.

Well, we certainly can't say you didn't try.

Maybe you could try one of the non-"something for nothing" branches of the hobby?

I ordered 4 more boxes, I just can't help it. I can't just go out like this. Murphy's Law tells me I will get one eventually! But when!

First 4 half dollar boxes of 2020:
    5x40%ers including 1x68D ender.
Nothing special to write home about but I am working on my new years resolution on documenting my finds better.

Have a gut feeling that BLS (BadLuckSilver) is right on the verge of a big score.......make that A VERY BIG SCORE! Maybe California is a bad place to hunt? I've heard that as far as cent searching is concerned, Wisconsin and Michigan kick the other 48 States A.

The problem is that you've started CRHing about 7 years too late. Millions of new roll searchers started not long after the big jump in the price of silver. Now, about all that is available is the leftovers. ~ Chris

Dumped yesterday's halves and cents and picked up some quarters and dimes.
$200 CWR dimes - skunk. Haven't seen a silver dime in ages
    $300 MRW quarters - 3x Proof (01S KN, 04S FL, 04S MI), 05P Kansas IN D WE RUST, 18P Cumberland Islands Rim Cud (5 o'clock), Bahams 25c

Found these 2 Proofs in the same roll:

Very Nice Proofs.......I hope I can find them as nice. I grew up in Michigan and have lived in Florida 35 years now.

In the last few months I have come across quite a few really nice proof quarters. All MWR. I'm assuming they are coming from the same place. I wonder who is tossing them in.

Your disappointment is probably proportionate to your expectations. As our fellow enthusiasts point out, the pickings are slimmer-and-slimmer as the years pass. Scarcity is a function of original mintage, age, and the saturation of newer, more common coins. And when it comes to silver, there are folks (like you?) that merely are silver searchers (rather than coin collectors). If you research here/elsewhere, you'll find that the return on investment (time and energy) is pretty low. To be honest, if you are a collector (or become one), you might find that when you are looking for other things (high grade specimens, errors, varieties, other collectables) that the bonus will be the occasional silver coin. Like searching Cent rolls: scarcity of wheat back cents is offset by the numbers of errors/varieties you could collect. In reality, it's far more productive to look for those items than it is to solely search for the Wheaties.
