I have purchased several "high cost" to me individual coins such as the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1910-S, 1911-S 1914-D, 1924-D and 1931-S.

I am looking to spend around $300 on SEVERAL coins. These could be coins that further my Lincoln Wheat Cent collection or something different.

A few interests of mine are Buffalo Nickels, Morgan's, Mercury Dimes, etc. Essentially, I am not a set builder. I buy what I really like.

Any recommendations on 2-4 coins that could be had in AU58 to MS64 in my price range?

I think you should include a 1943 Steel cent in there, they can be somewhat reasonable. I have a MS67 S mint one that I got for under 200. Any P, D, or S one in MS64 or 65 is pretty low and would not take too much of your budget. PCGS has it between 22-28$ right now on their site, but I don't know what they are actually being asked for this. I purposely went for the highest grade I could afford.

Then, maybe find a really sweet Mercury dime. Don't think you will regret that.

Forvthe coins you listed, Buffalo Nickels, Morgans and Mercury Dimes, $300 can buy quite a bit. Do your research, check the grades and be patient. It's your collection so build it as you like. :)

Don’t let the money burn a hole in your pocket. Do some looking about first.
