    1. Yen Meiji 37 (1904) Imperial Japan

Without a doubt, this was my most important acquisition this year. I acquired this coin at the BRNA show this August minus the original slab. This coin now resides comfortably in my Dansco 7460.

    2. Great Britain 1863 Shilling

This particular coin was probably my best junk box find this year. With a relatively low mintage of 859,000 and high value compared to later "young head" shillings.

    3. 20 Sen Meiji 3 (1870) Imperial Japan

    4. Gordian III Antoninianus 238 - 244 AD

This is the first Roman Imperial coin that I've purchased and attributed myself. I can blame a college-level history class for this acquisition.

    5. 1915 Cuba Peso

Perhaps the most infuriating thing about doing a Cuban Typeset is the eBay prohibitions against Cuban Coins. However, I found this coin at my local LCS for a little over melt.

    6. 1913 Canada Ten Cents Broad Leaves

Thanks to subpar images on eBay, I took a gamble on this coin and ended up paying less than $4.00 for it, including shipping. Overall, not bad considering the scarcity of this particular variety.

    7. 1904 Panama 2 1/2 Centesimos "Panama Pill"
