    Picked up today at the Scottsdale coin show. I did not have any plans to spend money, but I wasn't going to let someone else get it.

    I have decided to play hookie from work and do some catching up on my coin site and some home chores. Have a great Sunday folks.

    This was $30...I think a 64 is more expensive.

    Dude, that is a stunning coin. :thumb: I'd say MS-64 easily. :)

    Is that a scratch or a die crack running thru the base and rear of the neck?

    Die crack, it's raised metal, not a scratch

    Maybe just the way the coin is presented in the picture. As you know beautiful coins sometimes don't quite photograph the way they look in-hand.

    To avoid confusion in the future you should consider abbreviating a date as follows:

    1964 = '64

    I'm not very good at grading, plus the picture makes it hard to grade. My guess would be a AU58-MS60 Obverse, XF-45 reverse(I can't even see the word peace on it!). I'm sure the coin looks much better in hand. Are both photos from the same coin? The toning is similiar, but the wear seems uneven. Your not trying to fool us with two coins are you?

    The coin is " slider-ish"

    Same coin, lettering is weak in the pics due to lighting and toning. I took this pic under the " milk jug" light diffuser to get the color.

    Album toned Peace dollars are tough, and I had the luck of seeing this fresh at a stale show, it really popped out at me, for $30 I grabbed it.

    Toned peace dollars, particularly attractively toned peace dollars, are as rare as hens teeth.

    That's one pretty coin, and I bet it would fetch a great deal more than $30 on eBay....Mike

    There are several of us making plans for the next Long Beach show in Sept, the 18-20th....A CoinTalk get together would be great, and in Utah, your airfare is still very reasonable !!

    I'll have to check with the boss and see if she'll let me give myself a b-day present.
