    The theme was Trophy when I added it....... maybe I'm too old and slow. A Valens was the first coin I had. I bought it in Egypt by the Great Pyramid and after c 20 years I decided to identify it and my present coin collecting all started from there.

    I am not sure if you where slow/ I reacted quite fast and still got beat out. This forum has some real speed demons, like me on my snowmobile;)

    For this thread to work, participants need to be sure that they are looking at the last thread posted previously AND check immediately after they post to be sure that they don't need to retract/modify their post. Last I looked, the current theme was a broken coin. I wonder if it will be current after I typed all the above. We will see.

    I have 4 "unique" ones.

    Here is one...from Messina/ Sicily
    AV 3 Tari d'oro ND Messina Mint
    Konrad I Von Hohenstaufen 1250-54
    German Rulers of Sicily
    ex: Baron Bruck collection.

    Friedberg only listed a 8 Tari d'oro/ no other denominations.

    Mrs. TheRed gave me this hemilitron of Akragas. According to F.A.C. this particular type with the eagle screaming left and the octopus to the left of the conch is an unrecorded variety.
