Thought I’d throw the question out there.

Hoping a St. Gaudens double eagle will come out of the FUN show. Keeping my fingers crossed.

You might, though, argue that I’ve already made my first 2020 purchase. I bought a 2020 silver eagle on advance purchase today for my album.

I'm heading to Norway in less than two weeks. My first purchase for 2020 is waiting for me with a friend, won at an auction yesterday. Since I haven't paid my friend until I get there, it will technically be 2020 when I receive it and pay for it.

A 1907 Norway 2 kroner "with rifles" in perhaps MS63 plus or minus. It's current grade is 0/01. A highly desired coin in high grade. When I get it back to the States this raw one will go to NGC with a few others my friend has acquired for me.

My goal was to be at FUN this year, but my 91-year old "Honorary Mother" (Aæresmor) was forced into a nursing home against her will and is going downhill quickly. Time to visit while she has some remaining memory and breath.

I hope to find a nice Bust Dollar at the Fun show. It's the last coin to end my US type set. Thirty years in the making. I almost bought one last year but decided to save up for something much nicer.

Always the new Silver Eagle; apparently all kinds of changes to the coin for 2021!

    Don't know.
I have my "fingers" in too many areas at the moment.
But it will be a coin that IMO will be at what I consider a fair price.

Might be a 2020 ASE for my Dansco, but ask me after the Heritage auction.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I know which coin in the Heritage FUN Auction I *want* to be my first coin purchase.

Whether it will or not remains to be seen.

I'm split between getting a $5 half eagle or an AU/higher grade capped bust half. Whichever one pops up at FUN first.

  10. hoping to get my 10th Morgan CC in MS condition (the higher the grade the better) hoping to find the 1889cc. Been saving for almost 2 years now for that coin

I have no idea at this time. It will either be a coin that is on my want list or it will be a coin that strikes my fancy when I see it.

Not quite sure of the question, so for what I'm working on it would be a key/semi-key Seated Liberty Dime. From the United States Mint it will be the remaining three 2019 Reverse Proof Innovation Dollars.

I guess it is how you read the post. It could be what is the first coin you will purchase in 2020...or.....which 2020 dated coin will be your first purchase. I will go with the second choice, since I already have in hand this coin:
Canada, 5 Dollars, 2020, First Ever W (Winnipeg) Mint Burnished Maple Leaf, NCG MS70 First Day of Issue, Signed by Susan Taylor (Former Chief Engraver), 2020W Burnished Maple Leaf Obv.jpg 2020W Burnished Maple Leaf Rev.jpg Mintage 10,000

I have some coins on my list that I’m keeping an eye out for, so my first purchase of the new year will likely be the first one of these that appears at a reasonable price.

  16. why does Redbook only go to MS63 on the 31s? Then to PF63 no 64 or above listed?

There's not really one particular coin that I'm after but I do want to complete my Three Cent Nickel set and my Two Cent Piece set.

I sold one of my Harleys and bought a 1889 & a 1893; certainly not in high grade (F12 & VF25 respectively)...but good for now; once I get my 1890 I plan to upgrade a few - but...I'll have to sock away some cash. Good luck! Oh and I didnt sell the bike to buy coins exactly...

My first coin for 2020 will be purchased at FUN. The last FUN show, I made my first purchase at the second table on the right immediately after entering the show on the first day - an 1855 Type II gold dollar in AU-55 with nice die clashes - which completed the gold dollar type trio.

I'm looking for a number of coins at FUN for my type set: Fugio cent; 1793 half cent; Flowing hair dollar; Bust dollar, small eagle; a Liberty Seated dollar; Flowing hair half; 1837 reeded edge half dollar; Classic Head Half Eagle; Flowing Hair half dime or dime; Several Liberty Seated quarters and half dollars; one or more Standing Liberty quarters in MS-65/66 FH; Liberty Head double eagle (if I can find what I think is a nice one, many in MS-65 are really ugly).

For my IHC collection: a nice 1877 in AU-55/58; an 1869/69; 1878 and a couple of others.

And, of course, I am always on the lookout for books.

Eyes are bigger than wallet, of course!

Not sure. I even verified it on PCGS before purchasing it.
