Lets try big pictures. This coin actually has a little more red in it than I like, but still a beauty in my eyes. All comments always welcome.
Wow !! Great coin. I am on the Indian thingy now after finishing my Lincolns.....thats a sweet cent there buddy, I like it !!
That is a GREAT looking IHC! I love the luster. (Excellent photo BTW.) This coin looks to be a bit weak in the feather tips (which is typical for the date) but otherwise is a great example to have. Congrats!
Nice coin. I'm seeing MS and RB. Is that a die break at 3-4 o'clock on the obverse? (I like die breaks. Gives a coin personality.)
So would I, I'd try to make room for it. Very beautiful coin! That luster is sweet. I'll take a stab and grade...MS-64 R/B? Very nice! :thumb: Phoenix
Thanks for all the comments. I will have to check the reverse when I get home, but I do not recall a die crack. I like them also and when I look at bust halves I actually look for those coins first. First for the red you would have to see the coin under a glass - I use 10x and you only see the slightest amount of brown. With the naked eye the coin is great. I would have to show in person with several of my coins what I mean. Shoot me - I really dislike red IHC's, it is just a personal taste issue. Phoenix - you hit the grade exactly.
There is something going on above the MER in AMERICA. Kanga's got good eyes! :kewl: Not sure if it's a die break or maybe a die clash? We need close-ups so we can see it better. As always with you, awesome IHC! :thumb: Ribbit
Yep - you guys are right. That is a die crack running through MER to the rim. It actually looks like it starts around "of". Cool. Thanks
Is it slabbed, or in a holder? I see 4 diamonds, a full liberty, nice reverse arrows and wreath detail, feathers on the obverse look nice. No rim damage. Nice coin. I think you should send it to me for further inspection.
