    So... the medals date "does" need to match the previous post then, or can it be any year ? (wild)
    I have very few older US coins, a sample of most at best, but I sure like seeing them. I was just curious.
    Post on guys... :D

    The first medal posted does need to follow the coin date posted before it. At that point any medal can be played. To go back to coins, someone would have to post a coin matching the last medal date posted.

    The 57 Half Cent followed a 57 Flying Eagle needing another Flying Eagle or any 1857 coin. It is my "understanding" (if you ask my wife that is usually wrong) that a medal needs the same date and then the poster can change the next coin to any date or denomination.
