Perhaps a VG08 - http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1960&die_id=1960d1mm109&die_state=lds
I will agree with a VG-08. https://www.pcgs.com/Photograde/#/Lincoln/Grades http://www.coinflation.com/coins/1909-1982-Lincoln-Cent-Penny-Value.html
@Joy Matherne According to the above grade given, my Numismatic News guide says $10.00. But I'm sure someone will debate that.
I didn't catch that I hadn't copied the photograde link as thought. Alurid got the link right though.
Sorry Joy. I helped jack the thread. Didn't mean to do that. I feel your coin is worth about $5 to $10. Nice looking coin for the grade.
Don't take it so personally. We see this all the time. He's a newbie and he stumbled in here for a quick question. He probably has a 1909, he got his quick answer, and he's gone.
I'm not taking it personally, I dont mind that I get hijacked wasn't asking what mine is worth was asking what a non vdb is worth because I have one also
In the same condition, the non-VDB would be about $2-3 or the VDB is about 3X more. Figure that through an XF range, that'll hold true. After that, the ratio is 2:1 and tighter after that. There are several sites that have numbers you can use or the annual Red Book publishes general values. Expect RB to be higher than you would otherwise get if you were to sell your coin. Like your car, the trade in value is lower than what the dealer will sell it for later.
Agree on the VG 08. However for $10 you can get a little better grade. The "book" might say $10 but $5 is more likely. As for the 1909 without the VDB it could be a dollar it could be less. Condition, and other factors determine grade. (evidence of cleaning, or damage) without a photo there's no way to guess at a price.
IAM HAVING A HARD TIME ON MY LABTOP I CAN SEND A PIC OF THE COIN AND SOOM INFO. ON THE GRADING SCHOOL VERY INTERESTD IN TAKE THE COURCE HERE IS MY EMAIL EDITED thank you
Vince, I edited your email address out. Right now there are multiple bots going over each thread looking for info its master can sell to someone. Use PM ( conversations) as they are private, bots can't read them. Jim
